I have to say, I was definitely honoured to have been asked to do the latest Resistance Radio piece. It was amazing to be in a place with such incredibly strong and wonderful witches and wizards. Standing up against the oppression is what these people do - what they will continue doing - and that is strength.

I wish I had that strength. I'm stubborn and strong-willed, and that's why I continue to fight against the man who attacked me, against the people who attacked Hogwarts, but strong isn't the word I would associate with myself. Not like those other people on the Radio. Those people are incredible to an extreme.

And yet, they're called terrorists. Terrorists. Why? Because they are fighting to save people's lives? Why is it that everyone is keen to forget the past? Keen to forget body parts in the post and deaths every other week. When the list of suspected Death Eaters included the people who are now a part of our Ministry? Major parts of our Ministry. Why do people think this is a coincidence? They got what they wanted, and so the deaths (or at least, the public, brutal murders) stopped.

But it was only the beginning. Can't people see it's only the beginning? And they'll even turn on their own. They've already established that if we don't all fall into step, they'll lock people away. Because people want to leave, they're arrested. Yes, that makes sense. If, for some reason, they were terrorists, keeping them from leaving is a great idea. Why not let them leave? If they want to come back in, then have issues with it. But really, keeping people in? That's stupid.

Anyway. I'm glad these people fight, and being seated among them was an honour.

Jesus Christ, even with magic, this house's heat is pathetic.

Leslie and I spent the last couple of days in a boozy stupor, recalling our exploits on the circuit, and all the strange and wonderful (and sometimes horrible) things we encountered there. We both debated returning to it (they're somewhere in America now, I believe), but both knew that we couldn't - and not just because the borders are closed now. We have some draw here, some reason to stay. I couldn't tell you what that is, just that I can't leave.

We talked about the time I managed to undercut a highly ranked bloke by using a severing charm on his foot. He wasn't expecting the attack to his feet and was caught off guard. He stumbled backward and I was able to get the upper hand. In muggle dueling, the attack wouldn't have counted, but it was that ability to move in an unexpected direction that gave me the upper hand.

I missed so much here while I was gone. And now I'm wondering what I'm missing while I'm here. However, I can't go back. I don't want to go back.

I belong here, but I've yet to figure out why.

Leslie thinks we ought to practice dueling, but given that we know each other's ins and outs like the back of our hands, it doesn't give us much of a challenge. Anyone interested? We'd do it at the farmhouse, though he and I aren't staying there anymore (but it's got more space than the place we're staying).

Mum won't stop crying, and Leslie and I have started... dictating to the family where everyone is going and when. I'm not letting them die.

My mum's buzzing around the house baking cookies and being all domestic because it's the holidays. She keeps trying to get me to help, but after the third batch of burnt cookies, I decided it was time to call it quits. It'd probably be a bit easier with magic, but mum doesn't allow it in the kitchen.

I've never been a big fan of them anyway. I'm not the sweet sort.
